Description
Nuijen had previously created a similar painting in 1828. That year also records his first trip to Gelderland. The work shown here, with the same theme, was exhibited at the ‘Exhibition of Living Masters in 1830’. In that year, Nuijen traveled via Arnhem to the Rhineland.
